12 years in the making
We’ve changed a lot since 2005. From then to now, learn how we started the business, went international and became a leading consultant in the life sciences industry:
Kinapse is founded in London by two experienced life sciences consultants. They start building a team with deep industry expertise, driven by strong values.
Kinapse operational in UK & Gurgaon, India
Kinapse opens a small UK office in London and a delivery centre in Gurgaon, India. The blended onshore-offshore delivery model, innovative at the time, will prove to be highly successful.
Creation of Clinical Operations
After recruiting a small team of experts, Kinapse starts delivering its first projects for clients in the Clinical Operations area. In the following years Kinapse will expand across the R&D and Commercialisation life cycle.
Creation of Clinical Trial Disclosure
Clinical trial transparency becomes a rapidly emerging area, with many pharmaceutical companies choosing to publish information in the public domain. Kinapse begins to offer CTD services and rapidly establishes itself in the market.
Kinapse operational in US
Operating out of its headquarters in the UK, Kinapse is starting to acquire a number of US based clients. In 2007 the first US office opens in Radnor, near Philadelphia.
Creation of Medical Writing Services
Kinapse starts to build a global Medical Writing team. Eventually, this team will expand to cover all major therapeutic areas throughout drug development and post-marketing activities.
Creation of Regulatory Affairs
Kinapse begins offering Regulatory Affairs services in 2008 and goes on to become a leading provider of Regulatory Affairs, CMC and Publishing services worldwide.
Formalisation of Kinapse Values
Our values are embedded at the core of our business; they reflect what is important in the way we work together, with our partners and with our clients.
Creation of Market Access
‘Value’ is becoming an increasingly important factor for decision makers in both developed and developing countries. Kinapse establishes a Market Access practice to help clients secure pricing and reimbursement outcomes in pharmaceutical markets worldwide.
Creation of Safety and Pharmacovigilance
Starting in 2010, the Safety and PV practice grows rapidly. Today, that practice serves clients in top-20 and mid-size pharma companies, as well as partnering with the European Medicines Agency.
Commence a partnership with the European Medicines Agency
In July 2010, we’re awarded the EMA EudraVigilance data validation programme. We have subsequently supported EMA on another project and continue to work with the EMA on both programmes. We are the only service provider to be supporting the EMA in their two largest PV outsourcing engagements.
Synova Capital invests
After seven years, and considerable growth, Kinapse attracts venture capital investment from Synova Capital. The additional funding this brings enables continued expansion and strengthens our position as market leader across several service areas.
Medical Information devolved from Medical Writing
The successful Medical Writing practice spins out a dedicated Medical Information team to support clients in this area.
Awarded the Fast Track 100 Award
For the first time, we’re recognised as one of Britain’s top 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales. We go on to win the award again in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, we’re recognised by the London Stock Exchange as one of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. In 2017, we’re awarded the International Track 200
