What do you wish you’d invented?

Guinness, obviously!

What do you love about working here?

My particular passion lies in focusing on the people, processes and data that make technology systems successful. Kinapse shares this passion, and we aim to stay at the forefront of the digital revolution sweeping the life sciences industry.

What has made you proud in your career?

My proudest moment at work so far was delivering Shire’s first electronically generated regulatory submission, where we shaved months off the timeline by the effective use of technology.

Where were you before?

I’ve worked in life sciences since 1989.

I started in regulatory affairs and operations before transitioning into Global Technology Leadership roles in Business Technology and IT Shared Services. My strong track record includes delivering regulatory, clinical and pharmacovigilance systems and databases.

I’ve worked at a variety of companies including Mundipharma, Shire, GSK, Daiichi-Sankyo and Genpact.

What’s your favourite book?

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Why did you choose to work in the life sciences industry?

Because of the opportunity here. Life Sciences is too often too slow to respond to digital innovation. I think this industry can follow the lead of consumer industries and benefit from the technologies that are changing the world around us.

The cost and compliance risks of regulatory affairs continue to rise, driven by inefficient manual processes and legacy technology. The solution is already available, and the biggest opportunity for our clients today is to embrace it.
