What do you wish you’d invented?
A cure for life threatening diseases such as MS, or cancer.
What trend do you see shaping the industry?
As drugs costs rise and more pressure is put on pricing, healthcare systems are constantly delivering new challenges that obstruct market access and product uptake. Manufacturer’s top priority right now is to develop a market access strategy and effectively communicate the value of drug brands to payers.
What has made you proud in your career?
In the past year, I was delighted to get some outstanding feedback from very hard-to-please clients. On several occasions, clients really appreciated my strategic inputs and advice on their deliverables, which they used further for decision making.
Where were you before?
I started my career as a Research Scientist.
Later, I moved to the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) domain with HERON, a Parexel company. Enthusiastic to diversify my knowledge in the HEOR field, I moved to UnitedHealth Group (Optum Global Solutions), where I worked with top global life sciences companies and supported them in various strategic documents and HTA submissions.
Now that I’ve joined Kinapse, I’m leading a HEOR service line, which continues to be a fantastic learning experience for me.
Why did you choose to work in the life sciences industry?
I chose to work here so I could do my bit for the industry, trying to make life better for patients.
