But, I still wanted to pursue a career related to my degree. This lead me to look at options to gain experience and knowledge in the commercial side of the Life Sciences and Pharma industry. I found Kinapse and applied for an opportunity for a 3 month internship in the Sales Operations team during the summer of 2016 before my final year at University.
I truly enjoyed my time at Kinapse and was keen to return as a full time employee for a number of reasons. I felt I had become a valued member of not only my team, but also the company as a whole. Some internships have a reputation for involving dull or menial jobs, however this was not the case at Kinapse. Even with my limited experience, I was immediately involved working within the team so I could learn and engage with the realities of the job from the start. By the end of my time there, I really felt that the work I had been involved with was appreciated and of real value.
I was fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to return to Kinapse after graduating, back into the Sales Operations team. My role now encompasses business development and involves developing bids, managing opportunities and performing analyses on Kinapse’s performance. I really enjoy this role as it allows me to work across all the different service lines, communicating with a range of people and learning more about the industry each day. Aside from the work being engaging, I find the people at Kinapse really help make each day more enjoyable, working together collaboratively and effectively.
I’m excited to continue learning within my role at Kinapse, and equally excited to see how the company itself develops in this continually evolving industry, working to grow and conquer new challenges.
